A new plot of romantic novel, It appeared to be: Lucy, a ruthless food critic get to meet the newest, most awesome chef, who isnt a chef per-se, and works at a food truck, which proves to be not-the-place where she expects to find good food. The book starts making this much hype about the food but from the moment they meet, the food is over and it gets to the well-known twisted plot of romantic novels, sexual tension, fights, bla bla bla. I found this book so entertaining at first but later It was dreadful and I just finished it so I could move forward ( I hate to leave books unfinished ). The plot was weak, the character development started good but then completely stopped and we didnt see any more of it, the ending was very much predictable. I thought this book was too predictable and trite. Though I like books with food related themes, the guy/girl, hate/love theme is so common.
A tasty romp. Light and fluffy. Whatever cliche you like is an appropriate side dish for this sweet story. Plus an insight to haute cuisine I will never experience.
A little predictable, but a good yarn.
I quit about half way through the book. I did not like the story. It was cliched and unrealistic. Russ was accompanied by his surrogate father, Thomas, even though he was a grown man. Didn't Thomas have other things to do in life? When Lucy was making Russ a meal she started on the mashed potatoes before the meatloaf, she really knew nothing about cooking. This book also contained the oxymoron beyond perfect. This is a short read as it is a novella.
